              NATIONAL MATHEMATICS DAY 
        
                             The Indian Mathematical genius
Srinivasa Ramanujan was born on 22nd December 1887. It was in recognition of contribution to Mathematics the Government of India decided to celebrate Ramanujan's birthday as the National Mathematics Day every year and to celebrate 2012 as National Mathematics Year.
                                     Mathematics optional students of KUCTE Kunnam celebrated National Mathematics Day. Mathematics HOD Reshmi miss delivered the welcome speech and the felisitation was by college Principal  Dr. Annie Paul Mam. Mathematics quiz competition was also conducted by the students.

                    Today I presented philosophy seminar on the topic 'Curriculum'.
                       Curriculum is a Latin word which  means 'the runway which one takes to reach a goal'. According to  Cunningham 'Curriculum is a tool in the hands of the artist  (teacher) to mould his material  (the pupil) in accordance with his ideals in his studio  (the school).

Aims & Objectives of Curriculum
                                 
1. To draw out, cultivate, exite and inspire the full          development of each student.
2. To create an atmosphere in which students will          learn to think.
3. To help students establish values through the              arts, the natural science, social science and                   religion.

 Principles of Contracting Curriculum
 
1. Curriculum should be child centred.
2. Curriculum should provide a fullness experience       for child.
3. Curriculum should be related to life needs.
4. Curriculum should make provision for socially            useful productive work.
