INNOVATIVE WORK
CLINOMETER
'My innovative work is clinometer' I made clinometer based on chapter 'Trigonometry' in tenth std. Clinometer help to find the angle of elevation and using it the height of the buildings, tree or tower can be measured, without actually measuring it.
CLINOMETER
Clinometer is an instrument that measures vertical slopes , usually the angle between ground or the observer and a tall object.
CONSTRUCTION OF CLINOMETER
STEP 1 : Get a protractor with one straight edge.
STEP 2 : Tape a straw along the straight edge of protractor.
STEP 3 : Tie a string through the small hole on the straight that in directly across from the 0 degree mark on the protractor. This may also be labelled as 90 degree.
STEP 4 : Attach a bead or small stone at the end of the string.
My aim is to find the height
of the building in the model. Angle of elevation is found using clinometer and it is 47 degree.Using the trigonometric ratio tan , the height of the building is got as 30 cm.

SECOND WEEK
I completed three lesson plans of the chapter 'Money Maths' in last week. In this week I completed another 5 lesson plans. This chapter is interesting for the pupils because simple mathematical calculations are used to solve the problems.
The school celebrated Children's Day.a boy from 10th standard is selected as the Prime Minister. The school Headmistress Smt. Vijaya Kumari and Malayalam teacher delivered Children's Day message.
Teacher's in the assigned us a new task. The task is to teach English to 8th standard Malayalam medium. We teach them during lunch break.
My student's name is Sachu. He knows English alphabets but didn't know to read and write words. First I taught him words in the textbook and help him to read the textbook.
THIRD WEEK
In this week I completed the chapter ' Money Maths'. The last section of this chapter 'Increasing & Decreasing' is an application of compound interest .I showed two bar graphs to explain the concept of 'Increasing & Decreasing'. First one shows use of mobile phones in India which is increasing and the other one shows decreasing use of radios in India.
I started the chapter 'Construction of Quadrilaterals'. As this chapter contains the drawing of geometrical figures pupils are more interested. I started the chapter by remembering the pupil about the construction of squares which they had learnt in 4th standard.
FOURTH WEEK
In this week I taught the construction of rectangles, rhombus and parallelogram. Our general paper teacher Smt. Jaya miss came to observe our classes. I taught the section 'construction of parallelogram'. I started the class by asking the properties of parallelogram. There are two methods for constructing a parallelogram. First is , when two sides and one diagonal is given and the other is when two sides and two angles are given. I used chart, containing steps of construction of parallelogram, as teaching aid. Also there was activity cards, containing questions. Teacher analysed the class and gave good comments. Also she put forward some suggestions to make my teaching more better.
FIFTH WEEK
Jeevan, a T.V channel selected G.V. H. S. S Chunakkara for a program called 'Haritha Keralam'. They shooted the whole school and its working. There was a special assembly on that day.
On Thursday we B Ed trainees conducted 'conscientization' program. The retired DIET Principal and SSA Former District Project Officer Mr. Bhakthadas Sir lead the class. The topic was 'INTERNET AND THE ADOLESCENT '. The program was for 8th std students. It is first time that we arranged a formal program and it was a nice experience for us.

SIXTH WEEK
On last week we completed 30 lesson plans so I conducted achievement test on Monday. Christmas exams started on Wednesday. All B Ed trainees have exam duty.We have to help teachers to sort exam papers.
SEVENTH WEEK(18/12/17 & 19/12/17)
This was the last week of teaching practice. We donated a fan to the school. The school HM in charge received our gift.

For the third semester teaching practice, I selected the school Government Vocational Higher Secondary School Chunakkara. There are 2 students from Mathematics , 2 from Physical Science, 3 from Natural Science, 2 from Social Science and 3 from Hindi department . We went to the school on 13-6-2017 for the first time to collect the time table and portions.
My concerned teacher 's name is Suma. I have to taught 8th standard C division.
My Teaching Practice Weeks
First Week...
My first day on the school as a teacher was on 21st June. There are 26 students on 8 C. June 21st is International Yoga Day so I gave a brief class about Yoga Day. Then I asked students about the importance of Mathematics on our daily life. They actively responded to my question. Then I started the chapter 'Equal Triangles'.Using teaching aids and chart I taught the portion 'two sides and a angle'.
First day on the school as a teacher was a nice experience for me.
On the second day Mathematics period was on 5th period. I taught them problems on the text book. Some of the students are confused on corresponding angles and I helped them to make it clear.
On Friday, KSU declared strike. Only 12 students were present on that day. At 11'0 clock school students went to their home due to strike. We remained on school till 3.15 pm.
Second Week...
There were only two working days on this week. I completed two lesson plan on these days. It's very hard to complete problems on the text book as students are too different in their grasping ability.
Third Week...
There were only four working days in this week. I got a chance to meet 5th standard students in this school. Those children were so cute and active.
On Wednesday Social Science optional teacher, Lekha Miss came to our school for observation. She observed Nija's and Asha's class.
On Thursday my optional teacher Resmi Miss came for observation. I had prepared teaching aids and flash cards. She observed Vudhubala's class on 2nd period and mine on 4th period. I used English as the medium of instruction. I taught the topic 'Isosceles Triangle' in the chapter 'Equal Triangles'. I used the model of isosceles triangle to make the concept more clear. Pupils were so active and they quickly responded to my questions.
Teacher evaluated my class and commented on the class.
On afternoon there was a quiz competition on school based on 'Basheer Obituary Day'( July 5) and 'Reading Day'(June 19). Students who were the winners in this competition are selected for 'taluk' level competition.
There was a exhibition of Basheer's books.
